For non-profit organizations like the ACT Foundation, champions like Jean-Paul Marsan, past Director of Corporate Affairs, Aventis Pharma Inc., are very important.

His history of helping ACT dates back to 1985, when he was working for a pharmaceutical company that helped launch the ACT Foundation.

Today, Aventis is one of ACT's key supporters, and CEO Jérôme Silvestre sits on ACT's board of directors. On his behalf, the retired Marsan is helping ACT to fundraise, advising ACT Foundation Executive Director Sandra Clarke on how to approach pharmaceutical companies.

"Aventis has a good corporate history with ACT, and I'm pleased to be continuing the tradition," says Marsan. "I see ACT's high school CPR program as a natural fit for pharmaceutical companies, especially those in cardiology, because it involves them in community activities that promote heart health."
