Program Updates - Alberta

 

Following the launch of the ACT Foundation’s High School CPR Program in Edmonton in 2001, Alberta’s then Minister of Learning, Dr. Lyle Oberg, made CPR a mandatory part of the provincial curriculum. The ACT Foundation is Alberta Learning’s lead partner in assisting schools throughout the province with program implementation.

In 2006, the ACT Foundation completed set up of the High School CPR Program throughout the province of Alberta. Alberta high schools now teach the CPR Program, empowering 45,000 students to save lives every year.

ACT’s aim is to see every Canadian teenager graduate from high school with skills and knowledge to save lives.
